BMW has unveiled a new M Performance Track Kit for the M2, giving the compact coupe a more focused setup for drivers who want sharper performance on track without giving up road legality.
Available from July 2026, the package combines new aerodynamic parts with an adjustable suspension system developed to improve stability, grip and driver confidence on circuit. It is a clear step beyond a cosmetic body kit, aimed at owners who want a factory-backed upgrade with genuine performance intent.
Factory aero built for the track
The headline changes come from a new adjustable front splitter and swan-neck rear wing. Together, they are designed to increase downforce and improve high-speed stability, helping the M2 feel more planted when pushed harder on track.
For many buyers, that will be the real appeal here. Rather than turning to aftermarket aero with mixed results, BMW is offering a package designed specifically for the current M2 and engineered to work as a complete setup.
Adjustable suspension adds real substance
The M Performance Track Kit also includes a threaded chassis with four-way adjustable damping, allowing owners to fine-tune rebound and compression depending on how and where the car is being driven.
Ride height can also be lowered by up to 20mm at both the front and rear, which should not only sharpen the M2’s stance but also improve body control and responsiveness through faster corners.
That makes this feel like a proper enthusiast package rather than a styling exercise. For drivers who regularly attend track days, the suspension upgrade may be the most important part of the whole announcement.
New titanium exhaust for the M2 CS
Alongside the Track Kit, BMW has also revealed a new M Performance exhaust system for the M2 CS.
Constructed from titanium and carbon fibre, the system is said to save around 8kg compared with the standard setup while adding a more purposeful soundtrack. With the M2 CS already producing 390kW, or 530hp, the focus here appears to be less about chasing more power and more about improving character, sound and overall feel.
Price and UK availability
BMW says the M Performance Track Kit will be available from July 2026 and will cost €23,500 plus tax, excluding installation.
The M Performance exhaust for the M2 CS starts from €8,343.50 plus tax, again before fitting costs are added.
Neither option is cheap, but that is unlikely to concern the buyers BMW is targeting here. These upgrades are clearly aimed at enthusiasts who want a more serious, factory-developed M2 without stepping outside the official parts catalogue.
On paper, the new M Performance Track Kit looks like exactly the sort of upgrade many M2 owners will want. The combination of adjustable aero, proper suspension changes and OEM development gives it much more credibility than the usual bolt-on styling parts.
If it delivers on track as well as it sounds on paper, this could be one of the most appealing factory performance packages BMW has offered for the M2 yet.
